paintbrush

The following  was  sent  to  me,i have no idea who wrote it,but  i  think it  says  so  much.  i think a lot of us  use that  paintbrush, both on here        and  in  our  everyday lives.          no one    ever  really  sees  the  real  us, unless  we  allow  them  to.

                                THE PAINTBRUSH

I keep a paintbrush with me,Wherever i  go,   In case i need to cover up,So the real me does not show.

I am so afraid to show you me,  Afraid of what you'll do, You might laugh    or say  mean things, I'm afraid i might lose you.

I'd like to remove all my paint coats,  To show you the  real, true me,  But i want you to try and understand,  I need  you to accept what you see.

So if you will be patient, and close your eyes,  I will strip off real slow, Please understand how  much  it hurts,  To let the real me show.

Now all my coats are all stripped  off,  I feel naked, bare, and cold,  And if you still love me,with all that  you see,  You are my friend, pure as gold.

I need to save my paintbrush though,   And hold it  in my hand, I want to keep it handy,  In case somebody doesn't understand.

So please protect me,my dear friend,  And thanks for loving me true,  But,please let me keep  my paintbrush,  Until   I   love   me   too.

Trouble  is,so  many  people  hurt  so  much  inside, that  they  cover  it  up.   that's what  friends  are  for             to    share  that  hurt  with.         be  nice  and  love  each  other             take  care  all

back on the road.

what a nice surprise, just  as  i  was  cooking  tea  brian  rang,to  say  my  car  was  done, all  ready  to   pick  up,be  ready  at  7.  which  was  cutting  things  bit  fine, tea  wasnt  due  til  6.30.  lol                  but  i  was  all  ready , he  came  for  me,and  we  went  and  got  it.                 wont  be  quite  as  much  as  i  feared, still  bad  enough  though.            least  i  got  my  independace  back, although  i  am  still  going   shopping  tomorrow  with  my  neighbour.  save  petrol.                        so,a  little  bit  happier.

had  forms  from DVLA,i  sent  them  a  form  i  downloaded  off  net,to  report   i  have  MS,which  by  law  i  must  do,  sent  me  same  form  again today.        plus  a  data  release  form  for  my  doctor             so  now i  must  wait  and  see  what  they  decide.   they  can  decide  i  am  not  fit  to  drive, and  take  license  away,( very  unlikely)   give  me  a  1,2,or 3  year  license            or  keep  as  i  am          normal.    i  cant  see  i  am  any  danger  to   other  road  users, and   await  their  verdict  with  confidence,           i  hope.          although   knowing  how  my  luck  is...................................................    take  care  all

towed away

brian, mums  friend, known  him  years         knows  someone  who  can  repair  my  car, cheaper  than   garage, brian  got  the  parts  so  everything  going  to  get  it  back  on  road.   as  gearbox  has  to  come  out, engines  got  to  be dropped  etc.so  having  new  clutch    fitted   while  its  being  done.       this  will  cost   a  fortune,no  idea  how  in  hell  i  ever  going  to  pay  brian   back.          oh  welll.

he  borrowed  a   trailer  from  his  mate  to  take  it  over  to  be  done,on  back   of  his  truck.and brought  it  over.    we  promptly  half  blocked  my  little   close  while  we  loaded  it  on,him  turning  the   hoist, and  making            this  way, bit  over  that  way  gestures,me  behind  wheel, gripping  it  for   dear  life, thinking,if  you   get  it  wrong, theres  going  to  be  a  very  loud  crash.          finally, after  much  cursing,it  was  loaded.     all  secured.         and  off  he  went.        i  went  indoors, put  my  hand  in  jacket  pocket........................and  pulled  the  bloody  car  keys out.!!!!! i  had  taken  them  out  of   ignition, and  put  them  in  pocket  by  mistake.              so,no  keys, means   cant   unload  car, means  brians  got  to  come  back  30  miles,means...........panic.

i  quickly  rang  his  mobile, and  luckily  he  pu;lled  in  on  side  and  answered         ermmmm   brian,       i  got  the  keys.            he  was  just   over  bridge, down  bridge  street, very  narrow  street  leading  out  of  village  off  main  road,no  way  of  turning  round,so  i  told  him  to  keep  where  he  was  and  i  would  take  them  to  him.      now,my  legs  hurt.   i  get  a  lot       of  pain  in  them, walking  hurts.        but          did  i  go  like  hell  along  road.  lol.         muttering  to  myself         got  down  to  turn, legs  on  fire,in  agony,as  i  did,a  bloody  great  Jewson's  builders  merchants  lorry  turned  down  road,i  could   see  brians  truck, with  trailer       down  road, could  also  see,no  way  lorry  was  going  to  get  past.            panic.         i  broke  into  a  sort  of  ungainly   staggering  trot, lol         brian  was  talking  to  driver  when  i  spluttered  to  a  halt  near  him,  gasping  for  breath, vowing  to  give  the    bloody  fags  up,       i  handed  brian  keys, smiled  weakly  at  rather   fed  up  looking  lorry  driver, and  walked  back  home.all  i  can  say  is             it  took  me  ages      lol.        how  i  made  it            really  dont  know.          my  legs.!!!!!!

oh  well.at  least    nothing  else  can  possibly  go  wrong.         can  it????

well.        yes.    it  can.         because  last  night, after  having  shower, and washing  throbbing  feet      i put  a load  of  washing  on.       all  done, half  load  into  tumble  drier     turn  on                 colllapse  in chair.          it  switched  off, and  i  took  nice  dry  clothes  out.          now,i  been  noticing  a   bit of  a  squeak  while  it  is  working, thought   nothing  of   it,loaded  next  lot  in,shirt, jeans, socks, turned  on  and........................................    nothing.           wouldnt  go  round.just  whirred.      found  out  if  i  took  jeans  out  it  worked,           just  hadnt  got  enough  power  to  turn  drum  with  load  in.           so,yet  another   bites  the  dust.lol           luckily  i  have  it  insured, and   engineer  coming  out  on  tuesday.       i  must  have  broke  a  lot  of  mirrors               lol

today,i can  hardly  move.         the  new  tablets  are  making me  dopey  as  hell.i   keep  dozing  off,so had  lazy  day,    think i  did  enough  exercise  yesterday.lol.

took  dressing  chiropodist  put  on  mums  foot, looking  quite  good, bit  red  so  i  redressed  it.           very  painful  for  her  bless  her.             that  will now  hopefully  heal, and  ease.           take  care  all.

thankyou and an apology

a  lot  of  you  know   CAYASM      yasmin         from  her   blog.    she  has  been  kind enough  to  nominate  me  for  the  nice  matters  award           Bless  you  Yasmin.  you  were  also  kind  enough  to  email   me  instructions on  how  to  add  the  tag.   Do  you  see  it??   no.    i   tried, but  all  i  managed  to  do  was  to  lock  up  my  computer           lol

I  feel  i  don't  deserve this,  i  must  confess  to  my  fellow   journal  writers,i  rarely  read  others  blogs, just  a few, and  you  all  know  who  you  are  from  my  comments.  don't  get  me  wrong, those i  do  read  i  thoroughly enjoy.  it's  just.................i  don't  understand  tags,i  don't know  how  to  decorate   my  journal,i  don't  even  know  how  to  add  photos  really.   did   add  1           no  comment.        i   use  chatrooms,as  i  prefer  chatting  to  friends  online, this   journal  was  meant  as  a  way  of  letting  off  steam,i  never  thought  anyone  would  want  to  read   it. i don't have  the  time  or  energy  to  do  any  more  than  write    these  ramblings occasionally.  so  forgive  me  fellow  bloggers, and   Yasmin       if  i  don't    add   tags,or   nominate  anyone.       i  am  honoured  though  yasmin  you  choose  me.    thankyou.  and  take  care  all

Why me?

lot  to catch up,not  felt  very  well.  last  friday i  had  a phonecall, carpenter  who  origionally  fitted  (badly)  my  bathroom  door.could  he  come  and  measure  for  new  sliding  door.   he  was  horrified  at  the  rubbish  concertina  affair, and  told  me  the  door  he  fitted  had  been cut  to  size  for  him  before  he  brought  it. someone  measured  wrongly.       im  cutting  this  short, basically   the  door  opening  is  too  wide,33 inch, and  he  will  have  to  build it  out  with  another  lining   before  sliding  door  will  fit.  so,in  other  words, its  got  to  be  built  out  to  30  inches.         how  bloody  daft  is  that.          by  my  reckoning, its  taken  the  following...........surveyor       who  i   explained  to,that  wheelchair  was  just  1  inch  too  wide  to  go through,   AA,who is the  housing  associations   manager/health  and  safety  officer, heating engineer  to  move  pipes  over  a  foot,  another   to  move  the  thermostat onto  other  wall, the  2         dear  sweeeet  fellows  who   knocked  the  wall  out,  carpenter  to  fit  linings  and  then   back  to  fit  door,   flooring  specialist    to  repair   floor  where  wall  was  removed,AA and contractors manager  to  inspect   faulty  door, contractor  to  remove   door, fit  rubbishy   concertina  1,decorator  to  gloss  doorframe  and  lining, and  to   strip  wall of  ripped   and  torn  wallpaper, surveyor  to  come  out, inspect  concertina door  and  agree       finally     to  sliding  door, and  now  carpenter           who  will  be  fitting  it.        all  because  the  origional  surveyor  ignored  my  suggestion  of  removing  door  lining, plastering  the opening, fitting  sliding  door, job  done   in  under  4  hours.      instead     that  is  a  total  of     at  least  15  visits, god knows  how  much  money  wasted, and  the  result??       hopefully  a  door  i  can  open  and  close  safely, securely, and well  fitted.   won't  be  holding  breath.

my  run  of   lousy  luck  continues  unabated.   sunday  lunch  time,i   had  dished  up,food  on  table, fancied  a  drink  of  cola.opened  fridge, took  out  bottle, poured  glass, took  swig..........................ewwwwwww        not    cold           in  fact, far  from. so,i  opened  the  small  ice   box/freezer  section,  and  i  got  niagra  falls.lol         i   keep   ice lolllies  in   that, with  ice  cubes, only  now   it  was  water  and  a  sticky  mess  which  poured out.        fridge  has  packed  up,i  think  thermostat  or  compressor  motor.  either  way, took  me  40  minutes  to  clean   it  out. i  have  been  without  a  working  fridge  until  today, milk  was  off  this   morning, cheese   gone  off, etc.          luckily   the  chap  i  took  xmas  lunch  too, offered  me   my  old   fridge  i  had  given  him  (when  i  bought  this   new  one  3  years  ago )back.    so  my  milk   and  more  importantly  cola  is  cold  once  more.

that   was  bad  enough, then  this  morning  i  drove  up  to  my  local  shop  to  get  papers,as i  do  every  morning,as  i  came  home, only  half  mile  or  so,my  clutch  went,i  was  stuck  in  2nd  gear.luckily i  got  home  with  it.        that  will  cost  best  part  of  200  quid, which  i  really  don't  have.      got  to  be done, just  have  to  rob  peter  again   to  pay  paul.    shame paul wants  his  lol.  oh  well.

lucky  it  wasn't  yesterday, mum  went  to  chiropodists early, had  to have   more   cutting  out of  toe,it   is   gout   a  lot  of  her  trouble.  toe  been  dressed, got  to  keep  it  on  til  friday  when  i  will  dress  it  for  her.   she  really  has  suffered  bless  her.  sad  to  see  her  hobbling  about  so  painfully.  ive  got   further  to  say,im  posting  this  entry  then  am  doing  the  next.              no  comments  please  til  the  next  appears        thankyou.  make  a  cuppa  first.    my  voice  is   going.   and  swallowing  very  difficult.           joy.           take  care  all.

job well done

ive been  busy, papered  bathroom, which  as  they(  those   magnificent  contractors  my  housing  association  use)  have  yet  to  do  door  is  a bit  daft.   their  boss  did  ring  next  day   as  promised, and  yes, sliding  door  to  be  fitted.  only problem  is           will  be  a  month       A  MONTH        and  the  bloody  rubbish  they  fitted  me  is  splitting  already      oh  well           who  needs  privacy  in  a  toilet        lolol       least  bathroom  looks  nice, done  with  a   striped,  heavy  washable  vinyl, was  on  offer  3  ears  ago   for  99p a  roll         instead  of  9,99          i  bought  it  in  case, and  origionally  planned  it  for  mums  bedroom, but  never  got  round  to  doing  it.      horrendous  to  hang, needs  load   of  soaking, and  i  not  really  feel  well  enough  to  do  it.               but  i  did            job  done.

Have made  several  new  friends  from  the  MS  societys  website,  and  thats  good.     because   my  "real"  friends,i.e.  those  in  every day life, seem  to  be  treating  me  with   kid  gloves.     i  feel  very  frustrated,i'm not  sure  whether  they  think   talking  about  the  fact  i've got  ms  will  cause  me  to  breakdown,or   what.but  really  wish  they  would  treat me  as  normal,  maybe  after  bit  things  will  get  more  easier.    i  hope  so.

went  to  drs  friday,Linda  my  lovely  ms  nurse  has    suggested  a  new  course  of  treatment  for  me       so  he  has  ordered  it  in,will  be  there  tuesday.hopefully  it  will  help  with  my  muscle  spasms  i  get.       had  them  for  ages, also   swallowing  troubles, again    ages.    in  fact  i  had  a  tonsil  removed        because   my  throat  was   so  bad.    now  i  wonder,  did  it  need  to  be  done??   because  all  the   jolly  little  troubles  i  had  are  all  from  the  ms.   but  as  i  hadn't  been  diagnosed    well      does  make  you  wonder.

mum  has  been so  good  bless  her,is  in  lot  of  pain  with  arthritis  again, toe  still  pains  her   but  at  least  infection  cleared  up.       old  age  comes  to  us  all, still  hurts  though  to  see  my  mum ,who  i  love,in  the  condition  she  is  in.

i  have  had  a  load  of   literature  through  after  my  asessment,  and  now   am  registered  as  mums  carer          did  i  need  to  be?        well   at  least  now, she  is  on  the  register  and  her  wishes    are  known  to  social  services           if  anything  happened  and  i  had  an  accident     etc.  i  know  someone  will  ensure  her  safety.     finally,  a   friends  mum  is  in  hospital  recovering  from  an  operation. may  she  make  a   full  recovery  nina,i  know  you  love  your  mum,as  much  as  i  love  mine.     take  care  all.
