this is just a quick update,too much to put now,just to say that i rang the surgery at 8am,explained.and we were sitting in waiting room by 8.30.they got us in as an emergency.our dr examined mums foot,said omg,and yes she has got an infection. result is a course of anti-biotics,nurse there redressed it,and mum feeling happier.and im relieved. not had much sleep,she's had an awful night,very little sleep,and of course i sleep with one ear open.so i didnt get a lot.now off to tescos,mum esconsed in chair,orders not to move lol. bloody builders still working. more added later. take care all.and thanks for kind wishes

At least you know whats wrong now but surley the Nurse msut have realised it was a n infection!!!! Hopefully the builder willl be finshed soon,
you must both be so tired with all the worry of the last few days.

Good stuff Morton, hope those builders are finished soon. The description of your mum's toe did sound like an infection.
