a foot at a time

poor  mum.        the  toe   that  was  cut  is giving  her  hell, thankyou  guido for  your  comment  about  gout.  i  rang Dr,this  morning  and  had  a  word  with  him, explained   she  was  in  loads  of  pain        mentioned  that  i  had  been  told  about  gout remedies, but  he  cant  prescribe  mum  anything  for it.  she  is  on  so  many  tablets     and  that  he  was  sorry,      that  he  just  cannot  give  her  anything  stronger  than  the  painkillers  she  takes, one  foot  seems  to  be  healing       i  changed  dressing  for  her   as  it  was  coming  off, and  it  looks  reasonably  ok.   but  you  can  see  how  "knobbly"  her  toe  joints  are.          she  trys  to  get  around,        and  doesn't  give  up  easily.is  resting  foot  as  much as she  can           just         and  i  know  i  have  said  it  before,i  hate   my  mum  in  pain.     rather  mine  doubled  than  her.

i  been  feeling  down, loads  of  pain  in legs, but  at  least   cough  and  chest  infection  seem  to  be  clearing  up.    but  i  went  in  garden  after  lunch          no  use  sitting  about, nice  mild  day.        decided, because  im  possibly  mad,(  said  it  before  lucy  or pam does  lol)  to  clean  my  2  water  features i  have  in front  garden,1  is  like  an old  water pump, water  flows  out   of  pump  spout  and  into  reservoir,,the  other is  a  watering  can, pouring  into  a  slate  trough.            both  have  never  been  cleaned  out  since  i  put  them  there    ermmmmmm            a  while  ago.lol            both  disgusting,     cleaned  them out, cleaned  the  pebbles  both contained, moved  1  to  new  position              refilled  with  water  and  both  now  working.        smell  better  too   lol   also   i  cut  the  dead heads  off  daffodils, don't seem  to  have  been  out  very long  this  year.so  all   clear  now.  ready  for  the  summer.  if  we   get  one  that  is.

everything  is  growing  strongly  now.  i  bought last  friday  15  geranium  plug plants in supermarket.          for  the  princely  sum of   £1.99.        try  and  get  some  more  this  week.  all  potted  in greenhouse  and  coming  along  well.  also  potted  the  2  large  begonia corms  i  kept  from  last  year.            so  a  start  lol.       2  ducks keep  here  most  of  day.asleep  most  of  time  under  fruit  bushes  lol.           when  they  arent  on  pond.  which  now  closely resembles  the  black  lagoon.     i  clean  it  out  once a  year  when  ducks finish  coming.                  well, time  for bed               thanks  for  your  comments                     take  care  all

I love those types of fountains.  I bet they look nice when operating.  I especially love the old pump ones.  We have never had something like that , just admired someone elses.
Feel so sorry for Mum and the painful feet.  What a nice thought, you  would take the pain if you could.  Sometimes it is good that it doesn't work that way.  But in our hearts it does and would work well.
Sounds like you are improving some your own self.  Hope so.  Jack

Sorry to hear about your mum and it's a shame there's nothing more to be done because of her other medication. Have you got pictures of your water features, and your doing far to much and your not in the best of health either surley they must be able to arrange some respite care for you. Heart go's out to the both of you.

Regards to your mum.

I'm sorry you mum is in so much pain.  I understand what you mean about wishing you could take her pain.  No one wants to see someone they love in pain.
Your water features sound lovely.  Glad spring is finally here.
Hugs, Joyce

I'm so sorry your Mum is suffering so much. I know what you mean about wanting to have the pain instead of them. I was like that with my Mom when she was alive. It's awful to see one that you love suffering. Give her a great big hug from me, ok?
Glad you got out and did some gardening. It's raining here....can you believe it? We never get rain!
Have a good night.
Love,
Pam xoxox

Sorry to hear your mum's gout cannot be treated adequately, Mort, it is excruciatingly painful. Get her to drink plenty, if she doesn't already. Avoid coffee and tea.
There is a very nasty chestbug going round at the moment, good to hear you're getting over it. Your garden will look great!

I know Im going to sound like a miser here, but I go to b&q and buy up trays of flowers for 50p each tray,as they are on their last legs, then after planting and a good watering, well a good drowning, they all come back to life, did that with my acer,it was a standard going for £9.00 instead of £20.00 as it was pot bound, popped it in the ol' garden after cutting the plastic from the roots and its a winner! Beautiful plant, its now a beautiful red canopied tree, when its not windy or rainy of course.Sorry to hear about your mum and your pains too hun, heres hoping by the time summer comes, youre both able to enjoy some lovely garden moments, pop some night scented stock in by the house and smell that on a summers eve, delicious ! zoe xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
