update time

well  i  went  to  Drs.  he  examined  me,and  yes  got  chest  infection,  got  more  anti  biotics  the size  of  horse pills       lol.    got  2  lots, take  1  box, weeks  course, leave  off  for  3  days,if  still  chesty, take  other box.     i  asked  him  about  mums  gout,if  any  tablets  will  help, but  as he explained  mum  is  on  so  many, there is  nothing  he  can  prescribe  for  her  for  it.

we  had  phone  call  yesterday  from  the  volunteer  carers,  someone  will  come  and  see  us  week  after  next,to  discuss  mums  needs, likes, etc.  so  volunteer  got  an  idea  what  mum  likes  to  chat  about.          we  going  to  say   young  naked  men     lolol.  that  will  blow  the  computer  up.lol       i  also  written  to  social  worker

one  last  thing         ducks  not  been  round  last  3  days, thought  they  were  finished,so  lunch time we  were   having  lunch, and  mum  said, whats  that  noise??  like  a  tapping.       i  looked        no one  at  front  door, noone  at  back            yet  there  was  a  noise,a  gentle  tapping  sound.          odd.         so  i  opened  back  door.      and  it  was  donald, tapping  on  door  with  his  bill lol.   who  said  dumb  animals???   and  yes          they  got  fed  and  fussed over  lol             take  care  all

so glad it looks like you may be getting some help i'll be interested to hear what the social worker has to say for herself. shame the doctor can't help your mum more, but as she is on so many pills perhaps it's wise still don't lie to think of her having so much discomfort, so Donald and Jem came for lunch wonder where they're having brekie...lol. wishing you a speedy recovery.

Regards to your mum

Take care

Neat story.  Ducks pan handling!  What ever works!
Hope the visit from the carers rep. helps.  Watch that about the naked young men though, the Dr, might reccommend two.  haha.
Love to you and Mum.  Hope Spring is there in dear old England, and you are able to get out.... Jack

Sorry you are sick my friend.  I love hearing about your ducks.  It will be sad when they leave.  I can't believe you have to tell someone what you want to talk about.  Just talk (and if it happens to be young naked men...woohoo).  LOL.
Hugs, Joyce

Sorry to hear about your chest infection. I think it's great that the volunteers are checking ahead to make sure they know what interest your mom has and what she appreciates. Animals are most certainly not dumb, they know which hand feeds them. Thanks for stopping by my journal, I'll definitely be back this way for another visit. (Hugs) Indigo

Hey Mort,  my Bro-in-law that has Gout has the same problem.  He has so many meds he is taking it is hard to fit another in that will not react on something he is presently taking.  Hope all is improving!...Jack

Oh Mort, I am so glad you are gettinmg someone to listen to you  as far as your mum.   Also thank you so much for your comments in my journal.  I DO UNDERSTAND MORE THAN YOU THINK.  I will try to remember various things that I learned through experience, plus what you have said.  I am just not used to you english men. lol  I am one of the firmest believers that animals are not dumb.  Our Spunky proves that to us everyday.  I did miss you and am glad you are back.  Thank you for the pictures.  Lucy
