the proof of the pudding..............

yesterday was  lousy,it poured  all day,   very  wet, cool and  miserable,   so i  got on with housework.  cleaned  kitchen and  shower room,  took me ages  as  this bloody ankle is killing me.   got up this morning  to a  very  damp, misty  dull morning,  which   got  out at  12.30         to  glorious  sun, and  warmth.  cooked  a  yummy  roast  beef  lunch, cleared  away, loaded   dishwasher      ( no im not  rich, pam gave  it me  lol  her  son got  it,and  it was  being  used  in her  berdoom as a tv  table.   lol   its  a  tabletop one  but  its  been plumbed  into  cupboard  under sink)     and  went  to bed til  5.

now, remember  i was praising  spray and  grow a few entries back??   get  it  from QVC  shopping  channel,   another  free plug.   lol.   well      these  pics  show  why i praise it so much .  enjoy  and  if anyone  not  into  flowers       nice  having  you this  far  lol.

tomatoes  are  doing  so well   been sprayed  with it  every  week        huge  trusses    and  looking  good.  get fed every 2 waters  with tomato fertiliser as well.

busy lizzies  in a flower pouch   were tiny plug plants.  every plant  has  been sprayed  every week with spray n gro   EXCEPT   for the bottom left plant.   again  fed weekly with toato feed.  as  can be seen  there is a huge difference in the quality and size  of plant.  i was careful to choose 10 plugs  exactly  the same size.   poor little thing  is  being  sprayed  now  lol

front  of  my house   no its not a jungle  underneath window  lol   they are day lillies   look bit untidy   until they bloom

 fuschias  doing  so well

again   sprayed  weekly  n fed       watered  every  day  soon dry out

this is on an old plinth i found when i moved in    think it was  a bird bath once   i turned it upside  down, the  pot is one of a set of 3  that  cost  6.99 a set    and  is near the pond.

so,  think you now  know why i praise spray n grow  so much.   2  more sprays will do,then  i feed  twice weekly with tomato fertiliser          and  hope  they  keep going  until  september.     i  did  try and  add these pics as an album    and  crashed      twice   doing  it           so    hope  you enjoyed  them.  take care  all        and  many thanks  for  all the kind comments  you left.much appreciated

I love flowers...just don't have the ability to do all you do and live in an apt. so no room either.  Your's are beautiful and I enjoy seeing the photo's.  BTW, I don't think you have to be rich to have a dishwasher anymore.  Most people I know have them Mort...lol.

The flowers look great, but you have also put a lot of hard work into your garden this year, sorry to hear you ankle is still painfull. Today the weather was glorious made a nice change after Saturday, the Roast sounded nice, I rarely have a Sun day roast now, no point it being just me.

Regards to Mum

Take care

Good morning Mort, Thank you for your very kind thoughts...I am sitting here with a very heavy heart but things must go on and although I can hardly think one day after another I suppose things will move wothout me ...It was so lovely to be looking at your beautiful beautiful hanging baskets etc. You sure would put me to shame with my pathetic little things.  I have never sent for anything from QVC(unlike my beloved niece who was forever buying things from QVC !)  but I will have to have a look for next year if it is still available.  Take Care. ( Unfortunatley Jacks. husband who we brought home with us for the weekend has now landed in hospital down here0...but we will still go up to Worcester tomorrow and try to tidy the house somewhat..therE is so so much to think of Mort.  Love Sybil xx

Good for you.  You got it to load!!!  I have saved the ones you sent me.  You know Mort, this is just, your knowledge on flowers and so forth, I gather from talking with you, an extension of what you did before you GOT SICK WITH MS and I firmly believe  that is one thing that keeps you going.  Look at  all the beauty you allow all of us to share.  My dishwasher is my 2 hands or Joe's 2 hands but you need any help you can get to makle your life as easy as possible.  You do great!!!!  Lucy

WoW!!!  your nreihbors are so lucky to be able to enjoy your beautiful yard work . It really looks wonderful Mort. at least the yuckky rain is good for something, keeping the flowers watered. I have to remember to water my plants because it is so hot here already that it just sucks all the moisture out on a daily basis. It was 94 degrees here today!  thanks for the pictures. i do so enjoy  seeing your lovely gardens , june

Hi Mort! Thanks for stopping by and for your comment. Isn't it funny how we all seem to have a special love for the place where we grew up?

Your flowers and plants are amazing. I did look for Spray n Grow online after your tip a while back, and it looks like there are other places from which you can order it, not just QVC. I'm skipping the garden this year, due to the way our vacation was timed, additional work to be done on it, etc., but next year I will be sure to get some.

Hi Mort, I hope your ankle is feeling better to day. Your flowers are lovely and your tomatoe bushes is full. We have some planted but they don't have many tomatoes  on them. It has been so dry here. Hello to mums hope she is still doing well.

Just catching up Mort, your garden is lovely and your home reminds me so much of ours, you have the same windows we used to have and we both have hanging baskets outside.  I am very interested in that product.  Problem is I can no longer get any shopping channels, we cancelled our subscription to satellite last years - used to buy quite a bit on there.  So I would not be able to get it anyway.  Seems super stuff.
