not happy feet

went  bit  mad  saturday, cleaned  house, put  clean  curtains up       omg.     consequently last  2  days  i  been paying.          but  least  its  done.        did  rather  collapse  yesterday, cooked  a  lovely  lunch  then  went   bed  for  3  hours.        nice  lol

had to take  mum to chiropodists  today, her  appointment  was  for  11,she  is now  in agony  poor  dear.  chiropodist had  to  cut  her  toes  to  let  out  chrystals  that  form  in  them.  she  has  severe  gout.  due  to  stomach  conditin  and  other  meds  she  cant  have anything  for  it.         we think  of  gout  as  something  amusing, with  the  idea of  the  hard  drinking  major  sitting  with  foot  up  sipping  brandy.  mum  dont  drink.

when  we  got  home   she  was  in tears,  i  had  to  cut  her  shoes  to  relieve  pressure on  1  toe,   she  has  them  dressed   and  another appointment  in  2  weeks.      very  hard  for  mum, she  hates  being  a   "burden"  on  me.        but  thats  what  i  do        care  for  her.

doesnt  help  i  feel   lousy          im  tired.  this  entry not  my  usual  flowing  self   lol.   take  care  all             going  to  bed

I'm sorry your Mum is having such pain. Foot pain is miserable. Heck, any pain is miserable. You take care of yourself Mort. You are so busy taking care of her I don't want you to forget to take care of yourself.
Hugs and love,

Hi Mort.  Now you can come do my curtains and cleaning. lol  I do feel so sorry for your mum.  That has got to hurt just terribly.  I must be honest and say I am not sure I could have stood  what she did.  Could they give her some kind pf pain killer that you could unject with syringe  when it gets unbearable.  I realizes yesterday, after we IM'd that I am going to have to be more careful  about asking you specifics about the MS.  I am so sorry Mort.  I am to close to the blasted MS and I worryabout you.  Telling me not to worry is about like telling me not to have worried about Alan.  I will learn to let  you tell me what you want & leave it. I care what happens to you, but I have no business prying.  I think it is safer if I just e-mail you and forget the IM's.  Have a good day.  Lucy

Mort, my fav other man. I really feel for you both. I hope your mum gets some reprieve from her pain, that sounds absolutely awful being so sore. I remember years ago, I went to visit my sister and brother In law and could hardly walk for the pain of an Ingrown toenail. Luckily my Bil took pity on me saying he understood how painful that was and he would help!!. After rather a long time of me saying No, It was okay, He put his foot down! (Oh pardon the pun!) I had a shower and half a bottle of vodka later, I let him get the little monster out! What relief. I have total sympathy for your mum and really do hope this eases for her. Now!...You are getting a row....You have to watch yourself for overdoing It! I know you are the carer, but you can't do too much. Right! row over! lol. I hope Donald and Jem are behaving and not erm... blocking your doorway! lol.  Love Pam xx

Mort,
I'd take your mum to the doctor if the gout is that acute. There are meds for that, I'm not talking anti-inflammatories by the way - it's a big long name, colchicine. Not a nice medicine, but very effective. Check with GP if that is possible.

At least glad you are up enough to clean and get around and also keep us posted on life in that area of the world, North Norfolk.  Hope Mum gets some relief soon.  We have a Bro-in-law that suffers from gout,  from him know it is not laughing matter.  At times he says the pain is the worst he has had in his entire life.
The best to you & Mum... Hoping you both get better.  Jack
