door wars.the saga continues!!!

                             IN A BATHROOM FAR,FAR AWAY.................................

I  couldn't make this up if  i  tried.      i  was  sitting  reading  the paper  this afternoon, when a contractors  van pulled  up  outside, knock  on  my  front  door,it  was  the  decorator.  he  was  doing  a  job  at  the  next  village, had  called  in  to  give  door  and  woodwork  a  coat  of  primer, and  was  going  to  call  in  on  his  way  back home  before he left  off  to  undercoat.   was  that  ok??    yessss.  lets  get  this  over  with.  i've  decided  to  paper  the  hall  side  of  sliding  door  to  match  hall  paper, won't be  so  noticeable.   be  all  finished by  tomorrow, coming  back  to  gloss.  all  done.              except.

there  i   sat, all  aglow, ready  to  paper  weekend, maybe  before, nice   clean  new  sliding  door.  when  he  tapped  on  lounge  door  and  stuck  his  head  round.    i  think  you  had  better  come  and  look, said  he,i  cant  paint  that.   so,with  a  certain  attack   of         oh  hell  here  we  go  again's       i  followed.          he  had  primed  door, and  when  he  slid  door  back   to  fully  open,       IT  SCRAPED  IT  OFF AGAIN.    the  bloody  door  is  warped,it's  bowed  out  in  the  middle.  it's a cheap ply  faced  hollow  door, with  a  honeycomb  inside  of  cardboard, and  obviously the  ply  on  the  inside  of  bathroom  is  coming  away.     whether  damp  has  got  in  under  where  it  was  routed  out  for  door  guide,is  faulty,i  can't  say.        but  the  painter  was  right,if  it  did  that  to  1  coat  primer, what is it  going  to  do  to  coat  undercoat  and  gloss.          he  has  reported  it  to  carpenter, who  is  going  to  see  about  new  door  as  soon  as  he  can.

I also  sent  email  to  A,   boss  of  housing  association.  i  bet  she  opens   emails  from  me  as  though  they  will  explode.                    this  one  did.        that  is  now  3  doors,  carpenter  told  me  he  took  the  first  one  back  to  yard, and  threw  it  into  skip, complete  with  hinges, catch.   what  a  waste.    along  with  the  heap  of  rubbish  he  took  off  last  week, now  this.            i    am     not       happy.        oh  you  guessed lol.  good  job  i  can  still  laugh.  isn't  it???  oh  well,i  can  shut  it  ok  still, just  scrapes  a  bit.   will  do  until  replaced.

on  a  happier  note,  the  ducks  were  back.          i  got  some  bread  and  went  and  sat  on  seat  near  pond,    they  both  still  must  remember  me,both  took  from  my  hand,  just  nearly  lose  fingers  lol.  2  hungry  ducks.   will   buy  some  food  tomorrow  for  them.            lovely  to  have  2  wild  birds  trust  me  enough  to  take  food  from  my  hand.with  no  fear.

yep    that  is  them         lol..  just  thought  you  may  like  to  see  them.

thanks  to  guido  for  the  invite  to  the  new  journals  group, seems  like  a  good  idea, hope  evryone   will  join.        take  care  all

I am so glad to hopefully  have a new reader and commrnter on my Journal.  We do have somethings in common.  Not all pleasant.  I can empathize with the diagnoses of MS.  My oldest son was diagnosed  with MS and he had the most aggressive form that his doctor said he had seen.   He had no remissions and he was born July18, 1950 and passed from complications of MS Dec. 21, 1992.  He was 42 when he died.  Unless you want to talk about your MS please don't feel you have to but you are also wlecome to, because I understand what many people go through.  Now that said I think that is a cool picture of the ducks.  I love animals.  I am 78 years, kind of the granny at my Journal.  Hope to see you back soon.  Lucille, or I prefer Lucy.  I answer to most anything.

Aww My fav other man. I can't help but laugh at the door saga. If this continues, you will have to put up a beaded curtain and be done with It! lol. Your ducks are wonderful, hurry with their names. Maybe you should make that your next entry. Name My Ducks! lol. You could choose the ones you like the most! Love Pam xx
